Summer's here and we need that nail color to dry fast! Try this for a instant and smooth finish to your nails. 

The press mark test: After 2 minutes of letting the color dry, I applied a single layer of Anti-Chip top coat on the right nail. After 30 seconds, I pressed on my nails to compare the result. The left was a complete disaster and definitely needed more time to dry, whereas the right was already dry and had a smooth finish. 

Love it! A must-have for everyone who likes to use nail paint. Take it to your next mani pedi session, and use instead of a top coat. Make sure to apply only a single layer, and you'll be out of there faster with longer lasting results, guaranteed.

Directions: After applying nail polish, let dry for 2 minutes. Apply a single coat of Anti-Chip, and 30 seconds later, they are dry! It works magic. There will be no more press marks.

Travel Essentials 

You can fit all you want in your make up kit, and stuff it into your luggage - not a problem. But when you want to make your purse as light as possible, choosing what make-up to put in it can be a dilemma. Here are some products that you should keep with you on-board!

• Lipstick and/or lip & cheek stain
• Kohl
• Mini Perfume
• Comb

And if it's a long haul flight, these extra items. Simply because you have lots of time to spare. ;)

Now for some specific reviews on what's good to carry, keeping in mind the 100ml rule:

 The Body Shop | Moringa Milk Body Lotion

60 ml (The sample edition) | Leaves a fresh scent and a hydrating sensation

 Unfortunately, not available in all Body Shops. The travel size is available at The Body Shop outlet in Tung Chung. In addition to the scent, the best feature is that it's a spray. No messy hands, and no messy leaking containers. Can refill too! 

 The Body Shop | Lip & Cheek Stain

8 ml | Rosy effect for eyes and lips 

A product that can be used as a blush and as lipstick. It gives a good rosy hint of color, yet does not feel sticky and uncomfortable. Just dab a few times, and smudge with fingertips. It gives a flushed look, and perfect for a 30 second touch up before landing. 

 Nail Polish Remover Pads

Available at Sasa, these pads are perfect for inflight. Keep a tissue handy to wipe away any excess oil remains. And make sure to take out and seperate a few pieces for cleanup before you start applying nailpolish, as 2 or 3 are often stuck together. Since there are hours before the flight lands, you can take all the time needed to keep yourself busy and give yourself a perfect manicure on board. =)

MAC | Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF 15

A handy item that does a beautiful combination of lipbalm and lipstick. A simple and creamy product - thank god for no shimmer!

Some OPI Favorites!

Hello everyone! You never know what a nail color actually looks like until you get to try it on, but since that is not allowed, we have to make do with swatches in the store. Sometimes the color is a fluke and you love it, and sometimes vice versa. Here are some personal favorites, and favorites of my peers from the OPI collection. Hope the photos help! 

OPI Got The Blues For Red

Every girl needs a staple red! Perfect shade for all seasons. It is not extremely dark and not too bloody, falling right in between. A perfect red for all occasions.



OPI Roadhouse Blues

For those bored of the red/pink/brown cycle, this shade is a nice break. It's a subtle blend of purple and blue so could be used for both casual or formal occasions. Goes well with all skin tones.



OPI Crepes Suzi Ette

A more mature shade as its chocalatey brown. It works better for those going for a subtle look.



OPI Tickle My France-y

Love this color! It is a nude-ish, pink shade that gives the perfect amount of light and color reflection. Resembling the french manicure look, it gives a classy and chic look. It can be worn on all occasions. Another advantage is that even if your nail chips, it doesn't look horrible as its a subtle color. You can get away with postponing your manicure.

Here are some of my current favorite shades:

Nicole Reach Out

O.P.I has launched a slightly more wallet-friendly collection by the name of Nicole. The shades are pretty, and the coat lasts upto 10 days which is decent enough. Also, this collection is more easily available. You can buy their shades in Sasa and also have a look at their color chart for a better idea.

So this is my current No. 1 favorite. You can't see the color by one coat though, at least two coats are needed. It is a soft pink shade (not barbie-ish), and a unique color that I've seen only from Nicole. Overall a good buy!

Nicole City Pretty Rose

This comes in second. Color is seen with one coat, and this is also a unique shade that you won't find with more budget nail polishes like Revlon. A recommended buy and a good one!

Nicole Stolen Kisses

This is a more reddish tone, but new and pretty nonetheless! Enjoy.
